The Magento platform, currently running on version 2.4.4, needs to be upgraded to version 2.4.6.P6 to enhance performance, security, and compatibility. All installed extensions must also be updated to their latest compatible versions to ensure seamless integration with the upgraded platform. A secure and efficient payment gateway will be integrated to streamline transaction processes. Custom extensions, developed to meet specific business needs, should be maintained or upgraded to ensure continued functionality. Additionally, the Proto theme must be updated to its latest version for improved performance and compatibility, and the platform’s multi-store functionality, supporting around 40 stores, must continue to operate smoothly post-upgrade.
We successfully upgraded the Magento platform from version 2.4.4 to 2.4.6.P6 by first creating a comprehensive backup of the system, including data, files, and configurations, followed by testing the upgrade in a staging environment to ensure smooth deployment.
